Engineer wanted for quality assurance of new innovative train cars in Copenhagen-Denmark
For the international company Talgo, we are looking for an experienced quality engineer / quality assurance & quality control engineer with overall responsibility for the quality assurance of the delivery of the new trains for the renewal of the major part of its passenger vehicle fleet for DSB. These units will operate on the domestic Intercity routes and on the international line connecting Denmark with Germany.
The work will take place in the workshop, and you must therefore be able to work together with the craftsman and workshop manager on the train to solve the problems.
As the position is newly created, you will have a great influence on the creation of the job, where you will be a central person for the quality management of the team and the processes.
Experienced quality engineer with the toolbox in order
You are a highly experienced quality engineer or technician with deep process and system insight and do you have concrete experience with NDT techniques. And preferably a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a quality assurance department with supervision of installation, material and assembly. The most important thing is that you have the courage and potential to be the factory/workshop’s leading driving force on the quality side. Electrical technical knowledge will also be a plus in the position.
By nature, you have a good drive and independence. You are proactive, flexible and collaborative. You communicate effortlessly in writing and orally in both Danish and English, preferably German.

And have a lot of sparring and coordination with the workshop and suppliers in Germany and the head office in Madrid.
In the start-up phase, you will go to Madrid and be taught everything about the new train carriages and the technology. The learning process will last approximately 3 months.
The workplace will be in Copenhagen for the first year. But will move to Naestved (south of Copenhagen) around the beginning of 2025. The job is for permanent employment under good salary conditions and Danish labor regulations.

Primary functions within quality assurance:
• You must have a great deal of theoretical knowledge and at the same time be skilled at putting it into practice. You must have an overview of the materials, function and technical advantages of various products
• Carrying out inspection reports in the case of Quality anomalies detected on the train, with the analysis of causes and establishment of corrective actions (8D type reports), when necessary
• Perform the technical supervision of the repair works or modifications that Talgo must carry out on the train, during the warranty phase, previously defining the consistency of such works
• Perform quality supervision on bench maintenance works carried out by Talgo, where necessary
• Advise the customer on the quality of the different components and systems of the train
• Quality control on those supplier components that are necessary during the warranty phase
• Interlocution with suppliers regarding non-conformity reports or component integration problems during maintenance
• Provide technical training to the team and other areas of the organization and/or customer according to identified needs
• Perform internal Quality audits and supplier audits, when required
Requirements and expectations:
• Industrial Engineer, preferably specializing in Mechanical, Electrical / Electronics
• Experience of at least 5 years, working within a Quality Assurance Department in the supervision of installations, materials and assemblies
• Knowledge of NDT techniques
• High level of English B2
• Knowledge of SAP / Teamcenter is desirable
• Interpretation of drawings and workshop documentation
• Desirable knowledge of ISO 14001 standard
• Availability to travel on an occasional basis both nationally and internationally.
